The North Florida Council and
Camp Shands Staff recognize the summer camp program as an opportunity
for Units to grow and develop, as well as for individual boys
to advance. We also know that every Troop is different. That’s
why our program is designed to offer your Troop the flexibility
to tailor the summer camp program to your individual needs.
 You’ll
find that the afternoon and evening program areas offer more
than just merit badges. Schedule a free period for all
of your scouts to enjoy activities in your campsite or in any
of the available program areas around camp. For the adult leaders,
Camp Shands offers a variety of certification courses as well
as Leader’s Essential Training and Scoutmaster Specific
Training.
